Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 September 2026

This is a pilot-stage document. It is not yet finalized, and has not yet completed formal legal review.

1. Who's Responsible for Your Data

Data Controller

Sentio is currently operated by Eva-Constanța Preoteasa, an individual based in Romania, operating the Sentio platform (formal incorporation as Sentio SRL is in progress). For the purposes of data protection law, Eva-Constanța Preoteasa is the data controller responsible for your personal data while the platform operates in this capacity.

Contact for any privacy question, concern, or request regarding your data: evapreoteasa@gmail.com

If Sentio SRL is formally incorporated during or after this pilot, this policy will be updated to name the company as the data controller going forward, and users will be notified of that change directly. Your rights under this policy remain the same regardless of which entity is named.

2. What Information Sentio Collects

Because Sentio is a support platform for people managing autism, ADHD, and other mental health and developmental conditions, and for the people who support them, the information we collect is more personal and detailed than most apps. We believe you should know exactly what that includes, in plain language, not buried in legal terms.

Account information: your name, date of birth, gender, country, city, phone number, a short bio, and a profile photo, whatever you choose to provide when creating your account.

Information about someone you support: if you create a profile to support someone else (for example, your child), you provide their name and date of birth, and you confirm that you have the legal authority to do so as their parent or guardian, or with their authorization.

Health and wellbeing information: this is the core of what Sentio helps you track, and it makes up most of what we store. Depending on which tools you use, this can include: mood, sleep, and energy logs; medication names, doses, schedules, and side effects; crisis and safety plans, including emergency contacts; journal and diary entries you write; behavioral and therapeutic tracking specific to conditions like OCD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, autism, and others; photos and voice recordings you choose to add (for example, to a communication board).

Messages and notes: notes shared between people in a care circle (such as a parent, teacher, or clinician), community posts, and feedback you send us.

Payment information: if you subscribe to a paid plan, Stripe (our payment processor) handles your card details directly, we never see or store your full card number.

Usage information: basic technical data about how you use the app, so we can fix problems and understand what's working.

We do not track your precise location. A "sensory map" feature lets you browse places others have marked as sensory-friendly, but this uses the location of those places, not your own.

3. Who We Share Information With

We don't sell your data, ever. But to run Sentio, certain information passes through a small number of outside services that help us operate securely and reliably. Here is exactly who they are and what they receive.

Supabase (database and account hosting). Supabase stores essentially all the data described in Section 2, it's the infrastructure Sentio runs on. Your data is hosted in the EU.

Stripe (payment processing). If you subscribe to a paid plan, Stripe receives your email, name, and subscription details to process payment. Stripe handles your card information directly on their own secure systems, it never touches Sentio's servers.

Resend (email delivery). When we send you an email, for example, a crisis follow-up message, Resend receives your email address, name, and the content of that specific email.

Anthropic (Claude) and Google (Gemini) — AI-assisted features. Some Sentio features use AI to help generate summaries or insights, for example, a baseline progress report, a regulation briefing, or reading text from a photographed medication label. When you use these specific features, relevant information is sent to Anthropic or Google to generate the result. This can include: your name; the conditions and notes on a profile you manage; mood, sleep, and journal entries relevant to that feature; and, for the medication-label feature specifically, the photo itself. We only send what's needed for that specific feature to work, and only when you actively use it.

We do not use any AI provider beyond the two named above.

Legal or safety exceptions. We may disclose information if required by law, or if we believe in good faith it's necessary to protect someone's safety in an emergency.

4. If You Are Creating a Profile for Your Child

Sentio is built to help not only the person managing a condition, but the people who support them, which very often means a parent or guardian supporting a child. Because of this, Sentio does process information about children, but only when a parent or legal guardian chooses to create and manage a profile on that child's behalf.

When you create a profile for someone you support, we ask you to confirm that you are their parent or legal guardian, or that you have their authorization, to create and manage that profile. This is a required step, not something we assume.

We do not knowingly allow a child to create their own independent account. Sentio's accounts are designed to be created and managed by an adult, on behalf of the person they support.

If you are a minor yourself and you'd like to use Sentio to manage your own condition, we ask that a parent or legal guardian create and manage your account on your behalf, consistent with our approach above.

If you believe a child's information has been added to Sentio without appropriate parental or guardian authorization, please contact us immediately at evapreoteasa@gmail.com and we will investigate and remove it.

5. Your Rights and How Long We Keep Your Data

Your Rights

You have the right to: Access the personal data we hold about you, most of it directly in the app, contact us for anything else. Correct inaccurate information, most of what Sentio stores you enter and can edit yourself. Delete your account and data at any time, including data connected to your role as a supporter, clinician, teacher, or administrator for someone else, with two specific exceptions described below. Object to or restrict certain uses of your data, particularly the AI-assisted features described in Section 3, which you can simply choose not to use.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at evapreoteasa@gmail.com.

What happens to shared or connected records when you delete your account

Sentio is built around care circles, people supporting each other, which means some information doesn't exist in isolation. If you authored a note or observation about someone you support (for example, as a clinician or teacher), the record stays with that person's account so their history stays intact, but it is no longer linked to your identity. If a record exists only because of your role (for example, a permission you granted someone to see your information), that record is deleted along with your account. If you are the subject of a record someone else wrote (for example, a clinical note written about you), and you delete your account, that record is deleted too, since it has no purpose without you.

How long we keep your data

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed as described above. One exception: a limited technical log of AI feature usage (which does not include the actual content you submitted, only that a feature was used and when) is retained indefinitely for safety and compliance record-keeping. This log cannot be used to identify what you wrote or asked.

This is a pilot. Sentio is in an early testing phase. Some features are clearly labeled as "pending clinical review," meaning they haven't yet been formally reviewed by a healthcare professional, this is intentional and disclosed honestly within the app itself, not hidden. We'll tell you directly if anything about how your data is handled changes as the platform develops.
